Currently, in 29 states, there is no state law protecting LGBT individuals from workplace discrimination. Studies show that up to 43% of LGBT and 90% of transgender employees have faced bigotry or unequal treatment in the workplace. The Employment Non-Discrimination Act would ensure no one is denied employment or promotion, and is never fired for being gay or transgender.

We, the undersigned, urge you to pass The Employment Non-Discrimination Act. It is unacceptable that LGBT employees in our country still face bigotry and prejudice at work. The Employment Non-Discrimination Act would prohibit workplace discrimination on the basis of gender identity and sexual preference.
