Women are underrepresented in the scientific community, and oftentimes discouraged from a young age to follow careers in science due to social and cultural barriers. Stand with organizations like the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science and support the advancement of women in the sciences. Help close the gender gap!
Women need to be encouraged to study technology, medicine, agriculture, energy, health and the environment. They represent a mere 24% of the STEM workforce in the United States, and yet their contributions over the years have proven invaluable.
Young women need encouragement through education programs, grants, and their families. This shift can come from raising awareness on gender stereotypes, recognizing women for their research accomplishments through awards, and requiring equal pay in the workplace.
