We, the undersigned, are concerned about the disturbing practice of feeding poultry manure (a combination of feathers, feces, and uneaten chicken feed) to cows. This poultry waste can contain harmful properties such as antibiotics, infectious proteins, toxic heavy metals, and bacteria. It can even spread mad cow disease.
I stand with organizations such as the Food Animal Concerns Trust in demanding an end to the custom of feeding poultry waste to cows.
