Tell Congress: Raise the Minimum Wage!

Courage Campaign fights for a more progressive California and country.

About the Petition

Right now, a minimum wage employee working full-time only brings home $15,000 a year. How can these workers be expected to provide for themselves and their families on such a low income? Raising the minimum wage would not only improve the lives of millions of hardworking Americans and their families but also build a stronger economy and decrease the need for government assistance.

That’s why Democratic Senators are doubling down on their effort to give working and middle-class Americans a "fair shot" by pushing forward a bill to raise the federal minimum wage to $10.10 per hour. Meanwhile, President Obama has been touring the country to promote this commonsense proposal to help lift millions of American workers out of poverty.

Opposition is already starting, spurred by politicians eager to put the profits of the corporations that fund their campaigns before what's best for America and its workers.

We need your courage to help move this effort forward and demand that Congress act now!

No one who works full-time should have to live in poverty. Vote to raise the minimum wage to $10.10 an hour.
